#10: To Build A Home
There is a house built out of stone
Wooden floors, walls and window sills
Tables and chairs worn by all of the dust
This is a place where I don’t feel alone
This is a place where I feel at home
And I built a home
For you; for me
Until it disappeared
From me; from you
And now, it’s time to leave and turn to dust
Everyday I walk to the metro station on my way to college. In a 100 metre distance, there are 4 houses that have been razed, bungalows giving way to high rises, currently occupied by their transient creators.
